Beginner FAQ
What is a fingerprint browser, and what makes RoxyBrowser unique?
A fingerprint browser is a tool that manages multiple accounts securely by modifying browser fingerprint parameters (e.g., UserAgent, screen resolution, time zone, etc.). Its key differences from regular browsers include:
Anti-Detection: Creates isolated environments for each account to prevent platform association based on identical fingerprints.
Automation: Supports bulk account management (e.g., profile syncing, API integration).
Real-User Emulation: Customizable device types, geographic locations, and other parameters.
RoxyBrowser: The industry- Premier Antidetect Browser, designed for efficient and secure digital business scenarios. With unique team collaboration features and intelligent fingerprint simulation technology, it helps users effortlessly manage multiple accounts, avoid association risks, and unlock workflow potential. Featuring ultimate performance optimization, it delivers a lighter, safer, and smarter browsing experience, empowering both enterprises and individual users to comprehensively enhance business efficiency.
What is an IP Address?
An IP address (Internet Protocol Address) is a unique identifier for devices on the internet, similar to a "street address" in the physical world. It locates devices (e.g., computers, phones, servers) and ensures data reaches the correct destination. Key functions include:
- Device Addressing: Helps the internet locate your device (e.g., websites need your IP to send data).
- Identity Recognition: Platforms may use IPs to determine user location/network (e.g., Netflix regional restrictions).
- Network Communication: All online activities (browsing, video calls, gaming) rely on IP addresses for data transfer.
IP Address Formats:
IPv4 (Most Common) : 4 number groups (0-255) separated by dots,Example: 192.168.1.1.
IPv6 (Next-Gen) : 8 hexadecimal groups,Example: 2001:0db8:85a3::8a2e:0370:7334.
What is a Proxy? How Does It Differ from VPN?
A Proxy acts as an intermediary server that relays traffic between users and target websites, primarily used to hide real IPs or bypass geo-restrictions. In contrast, a VPN (Virtual Private Network) creates an encrypted tunnel to securely route all network traffic through a VPN server.
Proxy Protocols: Http/Https、Socks5,Faster speed, lower latency,Ideal for multi-account management (assigning unique proxy IPs per account to prevent detection).
VPN Protocols: OpenVPN、WireGuard、Vless ,Full traffic encryption,Increased latency.
Does RoxyBrowser Offer Mobile Apps? What Platforms Are Currently Supported?
RoxyBrowser currently supports Windows and macOS platforms only. While there is no native mobile application, you can simulate Android/iOS browser environments through the desktop version.

How Long Are Profiles Kept in Trash? Do Deleted Browser Profiles Count Toward Plan Limits?
Profiles in the Trash are stored permanently and won't be auto-deleted. Deleted browser profiles do not count toward your current plan's profile usage quota.
WARNING
- If you check Permanently Delete when removing a profile or delete it again in the Trash, the data will be unrecoverable. Please proceed with caution.
- Restored profiles are treated as new profiles – ensure you have sufficient profile usage quota available.
